Bi-Coastal EXA Alumni University Events Next Week
The Expressive Arts Therapy Program will show off their brightest alums next week, as CIIS hosts Alumni University Series events in both San Francisco and New York!

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 6:30PM participants will enjoy a lecture with Amanda Elo’esh Johnsen (EXA, ’09) -“Using Guided Imagery to Tap into Your Infinite Potential “..

In this informative lecture, students will learn how to:
• Use guided imagery for healing the body
• Use guided imagery to access hidden obstacles and resistance to therapy/healing modalities
• Access a personal source of wisdom that is reliable and engenders self-empowerment

$15 donation benefits the Alumni Scholarship Fund

Then , on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM, New Yorkers will participate in a workshop given by NYCIIS, The New York CIIS Alumni Association.

“From Darkness to Light: A theoretical and experiential workshop for therapists and healing professionals working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse”
with Elena Hull (EXA, '04) and Allison Talis

Elena will present and integrate trauma informed developmental, transpersonal and attachment theory using music, poetry, art and film. Through mindfulness, movement and meditation, Allison will ground us and create space for movement, play, and inner resourcing as we move through the content of the day.
